Chappie ChapmanFishing Trips:
We at Charwell Lodge are proud to be in association with Chappie Chapman's Fly Fishing

New Zealand's premier Fly Fishing Guide for Trout, resident in Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand.
Chappie has been guiding anglers for over twenty years.
New Zealand has a large variety of landscapes and hundreds of lakes and rivers to choose from, most of which hold trout. The rivers vary from small creeks & streams to large alpine rivers. Most places are within easy reach from my base in Christchurch and we are also able to helicopter in to remote areas.

Is a touring route linking three of Canterbury’s most popular recreational destinations. Hanmer Springs the alpine thermal village, known for its thermal pools, Waipara Valley a popular and developing wine region, and Kaikoura with its whalewatching and dolphin swimming.
The touring route begins only 45 minutes north of the Christchurch International Airport.   It is well signposted making it an easy to navigate route for all visitors.  There are 5 information boards in the district based at Amberley, Waikari, Culverden, Waiau and Cheviot that provide a wealth of information on attractions, activities and accommodation.
The entire circuit is 370km and should be enjoyed over a few days.  The Alpine Pacific TriangleTM can be taken in any direction and can be combined with other destinations as part of a greater tour of the South Island.
